Apprentice Finalizing Funds

Our soon-to-be apprentice, Rachel Steele, is close to finishing fundraising for her two year ministry in AQP.

Rachel may be joining us as soon as February. As missionaries must, she's run the gauntlet of fundraising and persevered. Here in the big city, we're excited about her arrival. Our field experience is hardly so extensive as to make for a big difference between Rachel and the team, so we're basically just increasing our work force 25%. Not a bad return after 1.5 years in the field. Anyway, in case you're wondering, we're calling short-term learning experiences "internships"--like Aaron last summer --and we're calling long-term (1-2 years) stays short of joining the team "apprenticeships." You may be picturing me with Donald Trump hair right now. If so, for added effect, "Rachel, you're hired!" [I've never watched that show, for the record.]

Pray for the last of Rachel's funds and her initial experience here. Culture shock is no respecter of persons.
