As Thanksgiving day gets closer we are preparing to share a meal with some of our favorite people here.  We have a lot to be thankful for and these people are at the heart of our thankfulness.  Since our arrival God has put people in our path that have become fast friends.  You know of some of these people.  Manuela, Alfredo, Jeanette, Emilio.  These and others have been our teachers and helpers but above all they have been friends to us in our new city.  On Thursday we'll share a meal with them and try and convey our gratefulness for their friendship.  Afterwords we have invited many other friends and new acquaintances over for dessert.  Hopefully it will be a fun time of fellowship where we can strengthen these friendships.

Along with our friends we must be thankful for the progress we have made.  Bible studies are happening and are progressing well.  Our work with Naranjal is developing nicely and the projects being developed for 2010 and 2011 are exciting.  The library project has blossomed recently with three new libraries being developed (go here to see a slideshow of the new locales).  All in all things are going well for us here and we recognize that God deserves our thanks.
